Keshia LaVett has been an educator since 2000.  Teaching is her purpose but writing is her passion.  Since she could remember her mother exposed her to stories, and she fell in love.  Stories help shape our individual lives.  They give us inspiration and aspiration. They provide an imprint for our life journey.  So what makes Ms. LaVett an expert?
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Maryland College Park, and a Masters of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Hood College.  She has taught English literature for over 15 years and published a coming of age novella in 2008. This text was used to shape many adolescent minds in school districts across the Washington Metropolitan area.  This inspired her to write two additional manuscripts dedicated to doing the same. She has also won various literary contests, and is a part of a poetry compilation entitled, "Mortal Thoughts."    She believes any type of literature can inspire; so she writes.
